But she left for school clinging to my leg, screaming “No airplane mommy!” I cried twice at LAX like a crazy person when I saw a mom and toddler traveling together. It was my first trip without my two-year-old. But the images coming out of Vegas were too tragic to feel better. I thought I would feel better when the world learned that the shooter wasn’t Muslim. My third (selfish) concern was that the shooter was Muslim…and I, a brown person, would be flying a few hours later. My first fear was that the killer(s) were still on the loose. We all woke up on Monday morning with the horrifying news about Vegas. ![]() ![]() It was quite eventful, and I want to share the details with you - my inner circle of advisors. What a whirlwind two days in the Bay Area. After my presentation, I sent the email below to a small circle of friends. I had a great night, but it wasn’t all amazing.
